Street Maneuvers Range Workshop & Skills Games Challenge

PRESENTED BY: Joy Medved – Joy of Motorcycling.
LIMITED TO: ONLY the first 50 registrants for each workshop.
WHAT: A half-day range workshop with optional skills games.
DATE: Sunday, June 10th, 2018
TIME: 8am – 12 noon

Street Maneuvers has been specially designed by Joy of Motorcycling® founding owner, Joy Medved, who brings 30 years of personal, professional, and competition riding experience.

  1. Joy, along with her training partner, Trent Reid, will first provide participants an opportunity to watch as they demonstrate several slow-speed and advanced riding maneuvers, highlighting the true maneuverability of large touring motorcycles on the road. Advanced maneuvers include non-street techniques, such as riding in a figure-8 side-by-side, so close their mirrors overlap, leaving no room for mistakes!
  2. After the riding exhibition, participants will have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-bike experience with several real-world Street Maneuvers, designed to help riders practice specific street techniques in a controlled environment with personal coaching by Joy and Trent. There will also be a motorcycle pick-up demonstration, allowing participants the opportunity to practice picking up Joy’s 1,000-pound Goldwing.
  3. After practicing, those interested will be able to test their techniques in an optionally scored Street Maneuvers Skills Games Challenge. (Winners will receive bragging rights the rest of the week!)

Riding Requirements: All participants must have their own motorcycle, motorcycle license endorsement, and proof of motorcycle insurance and registration; sharing a motorcycle is not permitted. While on the range, all riders must wear full riding gear, including: over-the-ankle boots, full-fingered gloves, DOT helmet, long pants, long-sleeve shirt/jacket, and eye protection (glasses or goggles, not a windscreen). Any participant without all of these required items will not be allowed on the range, sorry!
