Meet Gina Cunningham

ON RIDING

SWR: WHAT MOTORCYCLE DO YOU RIDE? HOW LONG? WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RIDE?

GINA: 2013 Honda Shadow Aero. Bought LOF in March of 2014. Is was inspired to ride when my spiritual counselot asked me to reflect on what brought me joy in my past.

SWR: WHAT RIDE WAS THE ONE THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE IN A MOMENT?

GINA: The summer of 1981 when I purchased a CBR Honda 500. My first bike which I rode to Lake Don Pedro to spend a weekend with my sister and her husband. I had never ridden far before but that weekend was different. It brought an independence which I never felt before being on the road and riding at higher speeds.

SWR: WHAT CAN’T YOU LIVE WITHOUT ON YOUR MOTORCYCLE?

GINA: My water bottle.

ON YOUR PURPOSE

SWR: WHAT MAKES YOU COME ALIVE? WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

GINA: Doing something good for someone else. Small tokens or conversations which help to uplift their spirits.

SWR: WHEN DID YOU FIRST REALIZE WHAT YOU WERE PLACED IN THIS UNIVERSE TO DO?

GINA: Just recently actually. I’m here to have a relationship with my higher power. To live a life that inspires growth, purity, honesty and above all, unconditional love. To live in the moment, in the now. to let my life unfold instead of calculating what will happen.

SWR: FINISH THIS QUESTION. A WOMAN’S PLACE IS ……..

GINA: to reach her spiritual awakening.

ON LIFE

SWR: WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL VULNERABLE?

GINA: Toxic people

SWR: HOW DO YOU STAY HEALTHY?

GINA: Vitamins, Exercise, Meditation

SWR: HOW DO YOU STAY POSITIVE WHEN CRITICISM OCCURS?

GINA: Breathe, it’s all relative

SWR: IF YOU COULD SAY SOMETHING TO EVERYONE ON THE PLANET, WHAT WOULD THAT BE?

GINA: Use our Native Americans 10 commandments.

1) Treat the earth and all that dwells therin with respect

2) Remain close to the Great Spirit

3) Show great respect to your fellow beings

4) Work together for the benefit of all mankind

5) Give assistance & kindness wherever needed

6) Do what you know to be right

7) Look after the wellbeing of mind & body

8) Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good

9) Be truthful & honest at all times

10) Take full responsibility for your actions

SWR: HOW DO YOU HANDLE “EMOTIONAL PAIN?”

GINA: Meditation

SWR: HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR CENTER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CHAOS OF LIFE? DO YOU HAVE A DAILY ROUTINE?

GINA: Wake up, Stretch, Pray, Meditate, Breathe, Drink coffee

SWR: WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF YOUR BIGGEST LESSONS SO FAR IN LIFE?

GINA: Do not be so serious. Live in the present moment

SWR: HOW DO YOU OVERCOME FAILURE?

GINA: Ha! Bring it on.. It only means I’m trying. The more I fail, the better I become.

SWR: WHAT TRUTH DO YOU KNOW FOR SURE?

GINA: My creator loves me.

SWR: WHAT CAUSES OR ORGANIZATIONS ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?

GINA: SHS, reforming our government.

SWR: TELL US ABOUT YOUR LATEST PROJECTS? WHY ARE THESE IMPORTANT TO YOU?

GINA: Volunteering for SHS when I can. To encourage other women riders.

SWR: WHAT IS LOVE FOR YOU?

GINA: To feel like your being held in the palms of the Creator. Safe

SWR: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR US TO DO AS BEINGS?

GINA: To look after the earth and one another

ON THE SUMMIT

SWR: DID YOU ATTEND THE FIRST WOMEN’S MOTORCYCLE SUMMIT?

GINA: I sure did.

SWR: WHY ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT THE INSPIRATION OF THE WOMEN’S MOTORCYCLE SUMMIT?

GINA: To ride with other women and promote the sport. It really is different than riding with men.

SWR: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO TAKE AWAY FROM ATTENDING THE WOMEN’S MOTORCYCLE SUMMIT?

GINA: Better riding techniques, New friends, Memories.
