General Event Information
Women learn more about riding, from sharing their stories, comparing notes, and from hands-on workshops and clinics than they do from other electronic means. The Women’s Motorcycle Summit is the perfect place for women to meet, grow and ride with women who share the love of riding.
The Women’s Motorcycle Summit attendee is many things in her day-to-day life, but above all, she is a motorcycle rider. She rides on two wheels or three. She rides on road or off. She is a novice or experienced rider, or anything in-between. Men are also encouraged and welcome to attend the Summit with their partner. Men purchase the same kind of ticket as their partner and may participate in all events.
Those attending the summit are helping others by participating in an effort much larger than themselves. In return, they experience a fun and powerfully inspiring weekend, make new friends, become a part of an extended family and have an amazing adventure.
Take your motorcycle riding experience to the next level. Explore all that mountain riding has to offer. Journey to the best America has to offer. Spend 6 ½ full days surrounded and inspired by riders who are ready to ride and make a difference in each other’s lives.
Come enjoy these truly unique events in spectacular settings, with fine cuisine, and plush accommodations!
- June 10 – 16, 2018 // San Juan Mountains of Colorado
- The 2 ½ Moto Expo – Durango, Colorado
- The 4 ½ Moto Rally – Silverton, Colorado
- San Juan Skyway Scenic and Historic Byway
236-mile loop, 4-6 hours
Durango is nestled in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains and is a great starting point for the San Juan Skyway Scenic and Historic Byway motorcycle ride. Because it’s a loop, riders can set out from Durango and head west on Highway 160 to Cortez or north on Highway 550 to Silverton. The route takes riders over several mountain passes, each at altitudes of 11,000 feet or higher, and through historic mountain towns that have been frozen in time. You’ll find plenty of turn-of-the-century mining history in Silverton and Telluride as well as signs of ancient pueblo civilizations in both Mancos and Cortez. The route includes a stretch of road between Ouray and Silverton that’s known as the “Million Dollar Highway.” Riders will also pass through the towns of Placerville and Ridgway and will pass by some of Colorado’s most impressive peaks, including Mount Wilson and Mount Sneffels.
- Nearby, there is incredible riding at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, the Colorado National Monument, Moab, Utah and MORE!
Though fundraising is not required to participate in the Summit, it is the motivation for the event. Peer-to-peer fundraising is done electronically in teams or as individuals. Funds raised benefit the Becoming S.T.R.O.N.G. Project for the purpose of providing educational grants to women.

Women Riders Testimonials
THE SUMMIT WAS FABULOUS!“The 2016 Women’s Motorcycle Summit was fabulous! I loved the whole thing – the venue, the majestic views of Ouray, Colorado and surrounding areas made for some magnificent riding. My favorite part of the event were the women I met as each woman came with her own brand of inspiration. By far the best women’s motorcycle event I have attended.
WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!The summit was such a great experience for me. I stepped out of my comfort zone and was challenged as a rider. I gained a lot more confidence and made some awesome new friends!
I VISITED LOVELAND & THE SUMMIT 2015I attended the 2015 Summit in Loveland, CO. I had an amazing time meeting the women who attended and listening to the speakers. The Beartooth Ride the next week was so over-the-top. Thank you Joan and Dawn. I hope to be back in Colorado in Ouray in June 2017 See you there sisters!
I LOVED THE MAPS & CHALLENGESThanks to the women’s motorcycle Summit I was able to experience the Colorado National Monument, one of many beautiful and inspiring places I got to see.
I loved the maps and the challenges. All was well put together and very easy to understand and they definitely took me to places I wanted to visit. Lots of fun and more reasons to eat chocolate and stop for cold refreshments.
THE SUMMIT WAS FABULOUS!“Wow! The Women’s Motorcycle Summit was amazing! The location in Ouray, CO just can’t be beat – riding the Million Dollar Highway, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Wolf Creek Pass and the list just goes on. Inspiring women – speakers and attendees – coming together, riding together, competing in teams, sharing together, building new lifelong friendships. This is an annual event – I’ll be there every year!
